What is testosterone enanthate?
Testosterone enanthate, also known as Testanon or Testro, is a synthetic form of testosterone, which was originally prescribed for people with testosterone deficiency. This product is now commonly used by bodybuilders to boost muscle gain, burn fat and improve recovery. Testosterone is indeed the most effective and cost effective drug in terms of building mass. Very close to testosterone cypionate, it is characterized by its shorter ester which provides a more reduced effect over time, its active life being 8 days. On the other hand, for equal weight, it contains more testosterone.
The Hilma Biocare brand manufactures, in its approved laboratory, pharmaceutical grade testosterone enanthate. The product is in injectable form, with a concentration of 250 mg per ml, and is packaged in vials of 10 ml.
What is its dosage?
Testosterone enanthate can be used both in periods of mass gain and in the cutting phase. Due to its virilizing effects, the use of testosterone enanthate is not recommended for women. For beginners, a weekly dose of 250-500mg is recommended. The proper dosage for amateurs is rather 500mg every 5 days. As for professionals, they usually take 1000 mg to 2000 mg per week.
The cure lasts between 12 weeks and a year.
As the product has a fairly long half-life, the injections are usually given twice a week, in order to maintain stable blood levels. When the testosterone level drops, a new injection is given.This is one of the differences with Sustanon, which requires more frequent injections to produce a comparable effect. For a first cycle, it is generally enough to take 500mg of testosterone enanthate, taken alone in two intakes over 7 days for 10 weeks, in order to obtain satisfactory gains. The cure must be followed by a standard PCT.
Adverse effects of testosterone enanthate
Treatment with testosterone enanthate can lead to the appearance of side effects, such as acne, water retention (due to conversion
estrogen), high blood pressure, high conversion to DHT and a significant decrease in HPTA function. While the product has low liver toxicity when taken in reasonable amounts, as the liver is used to processing testosterone, it does show a strong tendency to aromatize.
Due to its conversion into DHT, testosterone enanthate forms estrogen, and it is not uncommon for it to cause gynecomastia, which is often unavoidable with substances that stimulate mass gain. And as the action of the product is long, of the order of 3 to 4 weeks, the undesirable effects do not end with the cessation of treatment. Thus, at the first signs of gynecomastia, it is necessary to introduce Clomid or Nolvadex into the cure. In order to counter the fall, or even the cessation of testosterone secretion by the body, it must also be taken in a stack with HCG, Proviron, Nolvadex or Clomid during and after the cycle, which will relaunch the natural production of testosterone by the body.
For users who have prostate issues or tend to accumulate deposits as women typically do, adding Nolvadex during the cycle is a must.
